Tile Project

Our awful dirty (thanks Lucy!) carpet before the tile was installed!

Floor prep was the hardest part....

We even had to break out the power tools!

Now the fun begins...

Laying the tile is complete!

Now we grout...

...and we're finally finished!

This is the transition to the sunroom. The design was mine, but the green was Kassee's choice.

This was a really fun project, but properly cleaning the concrete of all the carpet glue and paint was the worst part - LOTS of elbow grease. Actually laying the tile was not too difficult, just takes a bit of OCD to get each joint straight and level =) I'd love to do this again someday!

Dollop of Ketchup

This is what happens when you give a one year old a "dollop" of ketchup to dip her chicken and peas (yes, her peas)...and then turn your back for a second to answer the phone.

The finished product...Mommy, Auntie Candice and Joss won't be quitting our day jobs to be professional cookie decorators!!!!

Josslynne made her first Christmas cookies!! We had so much fun decorating and eating sugar cookies with extra frosting! What a joyous holiday season this is going to be!!

I love everything about you and cannot wait to see what this next year brings. You have brought so much joy to me and daddy! We are thrilled that God has chosen us to be your mommy and daddy! Our hope is to show you who Jesus is and teach you the unconditional love He has for us! You are lovely, little girl. Happy 1st Birthday!! We love you so very much!

Eric's Other Wife...

is so loyal. I wish I had that kind of loyalty. She is always the first to stand by the front door waiting for him to come home. When his alarm goes off early in the morning, she is quick to "paw" him awake; I usually just roll over to the other side. She is so dedicated to him, in fact she follows him EVERYWHERE he goes. I think she can kind of be a pest and is a little annoying, but he seems to think she has a lot going for her. I admire the affection she has for him. Now if I could only teach her to cook and clean, then we would all be happy!

Happy Halloween!

Joss had her first Halloween! I remember being big and pregnant last year...too bad Eric thought we would have a TON of kids and bought two big bags of candy. We had 2, that's it 2 trick or treaters. So I took care of the problem and ate all the candy. Since I was on bedrest, it made it easy to sit on the couch eating candy all day. I wonder if that's why my Joss loves sweets!

This weekend's gonna be...

interesting for sure!

1. Eric is laying tile in the living room
2. Joss is staying with Auntie Jana, Nanee and the boys
3. Lucy is going to the Hilton for doggies
4. Mommy and Daddy get an evening without the kids!
5. Joss and Lucy will be all dressed up for Halloween!
